(MC) State-run Oil India Ltd on Friday posted a 55 percent rise in third-quarter net profit, beating analysts’ estimates. Profit rose to 7.05 billion rupees ($109.49 million) from 4.55 billion rupees a year earlier, Oil India said. Analysts on average had expected a profit of 6.88 billion rupees, according to Thomson Reuters data. Revenue from operations rose over 16 percent to 28.53 billion rupees.

(ET) Oil and Natural Gas Corp’s third-quarter profit has risen 15% on higher crude prices. Profit went up to Rs 5,015 crore in the Oct-December quarter of 2017-18 from Rs 4,352 crore in the corresponding period a year earlier. Gross revenue rose 15% to Rs 22,996 crore. The state-run producer realised a price of $60.58 per barrel for its crude from the nominated fields for the quarter, nearly 17% higher than in the year-ago period. In rupee terms, the realisation rose 12.2%. Oil price realised from its joint ventures also rose 15.4%.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. has registered gross sales of Rs. 62,832 crores during October-December, 2017 as compared to Rs. 55,471 crores for the period October-December, 2016. Quarterly Profit after Tax (PAT) increased to Rs 1950 crores for the period October-December 2017 against Rs 1590 crores achieved during the corresponding period of previous financial year.
