ONGC sold gas from its Bokaro CBM block to a private industry, H N Roy, for USD 5.77 per MMBtu on a gross calorific value basis, sources with direct knowledge of the development said. (TOI) The Union ministry of petroleum and natural gas (MoPNG) in an affidavit to the Supreme Court recently has informed that emission benefits are much lower if BS VI fuel is used in BS IV compliant or lower vintage vehicles. It stressed that the full pollution benefit of clean fuel can only be derived when the vehicles are also BS VI compliant. (Hindustan) पेट्रोल-डीजल और सब्जियों के दाम बढ़ने से मई महीने में थोक मूल्य आधारित मुद्रास्फीति बढ़कर 14 महीने के उच्चतम स्तर 4.43 प्रतिशत पर पहुंच गयी। थोक मूल्य सूचकांक (डब्ल्यूपीआई) आधारित मुद्रास्फीति इस साल अप्रैल महीने में 3.18 प्रतिशत तथा पिछले साल मई महीने में 2.26 प्रतिशत थी। आज जारी सरकारी आंकड़ों के अनुसार, मई महीने के दौरान खाद्य पदार्थों की मुद्रास्फीति अप्रैल के 0.87 प्रतिशत से बढ़कर 1.60 प्रतिशत पर पहुंच गयी। सब्जियों की मुद्रास्फीति भी इस दौरान बढ़कर 2.51 प्रतिशत हो गयी। अप्रैल महीने में यह नकारात्मक 0.89 प्रतिशत थी। ईंधन एवं बिजली श्रेणी में भी मुद्रास्फीति अप्रैल महीने…

HPCL and payments & automation company AGS Transact Technologies have joined hands to develop a solution where the pump’s nozzle identifies a car by a chip near the fuel tank and dispenses petrol or diesel according to the amount the owner sets in a mobile app. The solution will do away with billing frauds as tagged car-owners will pay for only that fuel that flows through the nozzle.
