(LiveMint) State-owned fuel marketers are pushing back against a regulatory suggestion to allow Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) to use their pipelines to sell jet fuel at the Mumbai airport. Currently, the three public sector oil marketing companies — Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd (HPCL) and Indian Oil Corp. Ltd—fuel all aircraft at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport through two pipelines from their refineries. (ET) Solar tariffs again showed an upward trend at the latest Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) auction on Friday, with winning tariffs of Rs 2.70-2.71 per unit. At SECI’s previous solar auction of 2000 MW three days ago, the lowest tariff had been Rs 2.44 per unit, while other winning tariffs were in the range of Rs 2.52 to Rs 2.54 per unit. (LiveMint( Finance secretary Hasmukh Adhia on Friday said the all powerful GST Council will consider bringing petroleum products under Goods and Services Tax (GST) and it could happen in phases. Speaking on the issue, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs chairman S. Ramesh said although there is demand for bringing petroleum products under GST, the GST Council will have to finalise modalities. (PTI) Petrol prices were raised for the second day in a row on Friday. After a hike of around 14 paise, petrol is now being sold at Rs 75.85 per litre in Delhi. In other major cities – Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai – petrol is now priced at Rs. 83.24, Rs. 78.53, and Rs. 78.72 per litre respectively.
