State oil firm Petroleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) had last year offered a 9 per cent stake in the San Cristobal field to OVL. (LiveMint) Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje today announced a 4 percentage point reduction in value added tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel, which will reduce their prices by ₹ 2.5 per litre in the state. VAT on petrol will be reduced from 30% to 26% and on diesel from 22% to 18%, Raje said at a public meeting in Rawatsar, Hanumangarh, as part of her Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra.
