(LiveMint) State-run Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) will bring to India the much-awaited natural gas from its Rovuma basin in Mozambique in the next five years, said officials aware of the development. BPCL will bring in 1 million metric tonnes per annum (mmtpa) of gas from the Rovuma field where its upstream arm, Bharat Petro Resources Ltd (BPRL) holds 10% stake. “BPCL will sign a sales and purchase agreement with Mozambique LNG1 Company to bring the gas to India. (ET) The Bombay High Court has refused to grant relief to Reliance Naval Engineering (RNEL) in a dispute with state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation and directed the Anil Ambani-controlled company to approach the arbitral tribunal to resolve the matter. RNEL had challenged ONGC’s termination of a contract and invocation of bank guarantee. The court directed both parties to settle the dispute through arbitration, said two executives who were present in the court last week. (ET) Country’s largest power generator NTPC will regulate power supply to Jammu & Kashmir for not clearing Rs 1,985 crore dues. The company has asked to state to clear the pending dues or face blackout. Of the 1985 crore, Rs 1626 crore dues are outstanding for more than 60 days, a company official said. NTPC has been supplying around 940 mw of power to the state from various power stations. “For more than two years now the payment from J&K has been irregular and as on date the outstanding dues of NTPC have reached a staggering Rs 1985 crore,” he said.
