(LiveMint) State-owned hydro power giant NHPC Monday posted more than two-fold jump in standalone profit toRs 492.29 crore for March quarter mainly due to higher revenues. The company’s profit in January-March, 2017-18 stood at Rs 199.80 crore, a BSE filing said. Total revenues rose to Rs 2,186.25 crore in March quarter compared to Rs1.406.07 crore in the year-ago period. The standalone net profit in 2018-19 slipped to Rs 2,630.55 crore from Rs 2,769.03 crore a year ago. Total revenue increased to Rs 9,085.96 crore from ₹8,358.77 crore in 2017-18. (TH) Domestic crude oil production during April stood at 2.71 million tonnes while gas production was at 2655.89 million standard cubic meters (mscm). According to data shared by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, India’s crude oil production during April was 6.94 per cent lower than April 2018 levels. Natural gas production was at 0.26 per cent lower than April 2018 production. Refinery production was at 20.70 million tonnes, 4.28 per cent higher compared to April 2018 production.
(Hindustan) केंद्रीय सूचना आयोग (सीआईसी) ने भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) से कर्ज लौटाने में असफल बड़े कर्जदारों के नाम का खुलासा करने को कहा है। सीआईसी ने केंद्रीय बैंक को निर्देश दिया है कि उन कर्जदारों के नामों का वह खुलासा करे जिनके फंसे कर्ज खातों को उसने बैंकों के पास समाधान के लिए भेजा है। लखनऊ की सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता नूतन ठाकुर की अपील पर सीआईसी ने यह निर्देश दिया है। ठाकुर ने सूचना के अधिकार (आरटीआई) के तहत यह जानकारी मांगी थी। उन्होंने अपने आरटीआई आवेदन में उन मीडिया रिपोर्टों का उल्लेख किया था, जिसमें रिजर्व बैंक के डिप्टी…
