Shri Nitin Gadkari took charge of the office of the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways in New Delhi today. He also holds the portfolio of the Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Shri Gadkari was Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation in the previous government. Shri Gadkari is a member of Lok Sabha since May, 2014. He was earlier a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council during 1989-2014. He was Minister for PWD in Maharashtra Government during 1995 to 1999.

(PTI) State-owned Coal India Ltd (CIL) produced 46.59 million tonnes of coal in May, registering a decline of 1.1 percent from the year-ago period, as per a regulatory filing. CIL had produced 47.12 million tonnes of coal in the same month last year, it said in a BSE filing on June 2. Coal offtake during May 2019 fell about 1.4 percent to 52.09 million tonnes as compared to 52.81 million tonnes in the year-ago period, it added. The production and off-take figures are provisional, the company said.
(LiveMint) The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI’s) monetary policy committee (MPC) will cut the key policy rate by 25 basis points (bps) as inflation cooled and economic growth slowed to a five-year low, according to economists and bankers surveyed. Seven of the 10 economists and bankers polled expect the RBI to cut the repo rate by 25bps, one expects a rate cut of more than 25bps and the rest say RBI will pause this time. (Hindustan) उत्तराखंड के चमोली जिले में भारी बारिश के बाद बादल फटने से एक शख्स की मौत हो गई। गैरसैण पुलिस थाने के थानाध्यक्ष (एसएचओ) रविंद्र सिंह नेगी ने बताया कि बदर सिंह चमोली जिले के लामबगड़ इलाके में जंगल में मवेशी चराने गया था। उसी समय बादल फट गया और वह उसकी चपेट में आ गया। अधिकारी ने बताया कि सिंह की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई जबकि उसके पशु गायब है। उन्होंने कहा कि उसकी तलाश की जा रही है। नेगी ने कहा कि बादल फटने के बाद आई बाढ़ ने चमोली के तीन गांवों और अल्मोड़ा जिले…
