(PTI) Reliance Industries Limited made a offering of Rs 1.11 crore to the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at nearby Tirumala, an official said. A representative of RIL handed over a demand draft for the amount to AV Dharma Reddy, special officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), that governs the cash-rich shrine, the temple official told PTI. RIL has requested TTD to utilise the fund for the temple- run pilgrim free meal trust, he said.

Jaitley, 66, was rushed to All India Institute of Medical Sciences on August 9 after he complained of breathlessness and restlessness. (FE) Faced with little choice but to boost faltering demand through greater credit flow, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday announced an “upfront” capital infusion of the budgeted Rs 70,000 crore into public-sector banks (PSBs) in FY20, departing from the practice of doing it in phases throughout the fiscal.
