(FE) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a penalty of `1 crore on Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB) for non-adherence to certain provisions of Income Recognition and Asset Classification (IRAC) norms. In a disclosure to stock exchanges, LVB said the fine was imposed for non-adherence to guidelines on IRAC norms and divergence in respect of two non-performing assets accounts aggregating to Rs.169.50 crore for the year ended March 2017. (FE) Finance Minister Nirmala Sithraman has asked the big companies to pay off their dues, left to pay MSMEs. The big companies have around Rs 40,000 crores outstanding to pay to the MSMEs. (ET) The national highways authority of India (NHAI) will be able to earn Rs. one lakh crores in revenue from toll and wayside amenities over the next five years, Union Minister of Road Transport and highways Nitin Gadkari said on Monday. Gadkari said that as the government goes on to build additional roads, the length of roads with tolling system will increase to 75,000 kms over the next five years.
