(M.C) Capital markets regulator Sebi on Wednesday issued fresh guidelines for KYC Registration Agencies (KRAs) whereby such agencies will have to independently validate KYC records of all clients from July 1. The move comes after Sebi, in January, notified new norms to make KRAs responsible for carrying out independent validation of the KYC records uploaded onto their system by Registered Intermediaries (RIs). Under the notified rules, such agencies will have to maintain an audit trail of the upload/modification/download with respect to KYC records of clients. (PIB) The Government of India has notified the New Central Sector Scheme for Industrial Development of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) on 19/02/2021 to attract capital investments in J&K with a financial outlay of Rs 28,400 crore (Upto the year 2037). The Scheme provides four types of incentives namely (i) Capital Investment Incentive, (ii) Capital Interest Subvention, (iii) Goods & Services Tax Linked Incentive and (iv) Working Capital Interest Subvention. (PIB) Keeping its commitment to provide speedy resolution of disputes with contractors/concessionaires through conciliation, NHAI has settled 60 cases for Rs. 4,076 crore against the claimed amount of Rs. 14,590 crore during FY 2021-22. The authority resolved these cases with a settlement amount that was about 28 percent of the total claimed amount. Last year, NHAI settled 60 cases for Rs. 5,313 crore against the claimed amount of Rs. 14,207 crore. Re New signed a 400 MW Round-The-Clock (RTC) PPA last year to supply electricity to the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
