TOI Odd-even rule for commute in Delhi is back from November 13-20 amid worsening air quality. In view of air pollution, the odd-even vehicle system will be applicable for one week from 13th to 20th November, Delhi’s environment minister Gopal Rai said on Monday. It means that vehicles bearing odd-numbered license plates will be permitted to operate on odd-numbered dates, while those with even-numbered plates will be allowed on the roads on even dates during the restriction period. PTI The country’s largest lender SBI on Saturday reported a 9.13 per cent growth in consolidated net profit for the September quarter to Rs 16,099.58 crore. The state-run lender had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 14,752 crore in the year-ago period and Rs 18,356 crore in the June quarter. On a standalone basis, it posted a net profit of Rs 14,330.02 crore as against Rs 13,264.52 crore in the year-ago period. PTI At least 128 people were killed and several others injured when a powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake jolted western Nepal’s remote mountainous region just before midnight on Friday. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, the earthquake with an epicentre in Jajarkot district was recorded at 11:47 pm. The impact of the quake was felt in Kathmandu and surrounding districts, and even in New Delhi in neighbouring India.
