Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has taken following steps to assist State of Kerala in wake of recent heavy floods: Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) made a CSR contribution of Rs. 25 Crore for Kerala relief operations. OMCs have been instructed to organize special camps for LPG customers for supply of documents on priority basis who lost their documents. The proportion of Rs 2,000 currency notes in circulation has fallen to 37% of total notes, from 50% earlier while the indent for Rs 2,000 notes collapsed to 15.1 crore pieces last year from 350 crore pieces a year earlier. According to the latest prices, one litre of diesel can be purchased for Rs 70.14 in Delhi, as compared to Rs 69.75 yesterday.
