(ET) The government is considering a plan to sell shares worth $2 billion in Oil and Natural Gas Corp , Indian Oil Corp (IOC) and Oil India Ltd (OIL) to help meet this year’s divestment target, according to people familiar with the matter. The government has recommended that the board of the Reserve Bank of India draft regulations to enable setting up of panels to oversee functions including financial stability, monetary policy transmission and foreign exchange management, the people said, asking not to be identified as the discussions are private.
