(PTI) India strongly rejected Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s response to its allegations of Islamabad’s involvement in the Pulwama attack, saying disclaiming its link with terrorist attacks is an oft-repeated excuse by the neighbouring country. In a hard-hitting statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said India was not surprised that Khan refused to acknowledge the attack on India’s security forces in Pulwama as an act of terrorism. (PTI) The Reserve Bank will pay an interim dividend of Rs 28,000 crore to the government, a move that will help the Centre keep fiscal deficit in check. The announcement on Monday came after the bank’s Central Board meeting, which was addressed by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. This is the second successive year when the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will be transferring an interim surplus. This is in addition to Rs 50,000 crore surplus transfer announced by RBI in August 2018 for 2017-18 (RBI follows July-June financial year). (PTI) In the first-ever deal by an Indian company, Indian Oil Corp said it has signed an annual deal worth USD 1.5 billion to import 3 million tonnes of crude oil in the fiscal year beginning April 1. (PTI) Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has agreed to hire half of the 2.5 million tonnes underground strategic crude oil storage that India has built at Padur in Karnataka, making it second such deal by the UAE firm in the state.
