(T.E.T) India is unlikely to build any new coal-based energy capacity over the next 10 years when the country’s energy mix will tilt significantly towards cleaner sources with solar emerging the top source, the government’s internal projections show. Energy storage systems will play a key supporting role in meeting the country’s energy needs by 2032, as per a study prepared by Central Electricity Authority (CEA), the planning wing of the Union power ministry, on future energy mix.

(T.E.T) The Delhi government’s Transport Department has begun the registration process for centres for retrofitting of old diesel and petrol vehicles with electric kits to convert them into e-vehicles, enabling vehicle owners in Delhi to convert their old diesel and petrol vehicles into electric vehicles. Around ten manufacturers of electric kits have been enrolled to convert old ICE vehicles into electric vehicles. (T.E.T) The HPCL’s Visakha Refinery is set for modernisation and expansion at a cost of Rs 26,264 crore. “This is by far a massive industrial project ever in Andhra Pradesh,” BJP MP G V L Narasimha Rao said in a statement here on Monday. RIL’s floor price is linked to crude oil and at the current rate of crude, would amount to $14 per mmBtu, while ONGC’s domestic gas price-linked floor is set at $4.5. (T.E.T) NHPC’s 2,880-megawatt (MW) Dibang hydropower project in Arunachal Pradesh is expected to kick-off in the first quarter of 2022-23 “with in-hand forest and environment clearances”, its Chairman and Managing Director Abhay Kumar Singh said. The company is waiting for the financial approval of the government which is expected soon, Singh said while speaking with PTI over the phone. He added that after the approval, NHPC will begin the execution of the ambitious project in Arunachal Pradesh at a cost of around Rs 30,000 crore.
