Hyderabad-based model Bhavitha Mandava has achieved a major milestone by securing a place in the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list for 2026. The 26-year-old model, who recently became Chanel’s Indian brand ambassador, was recognized in the Rising Talents category for her remarkable contributions to the fashion industry and her growing cultural influence across Asia.
Forbes’ annual 30 Under 30 Asia list celebrates young innovators, entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, and changemakers who are making a significant impact in their respective fields. Bhavitha shares the Rising Talents category with Filipino tennis star Alexandra Eala, with both being acknowledged for inspiring young Asians through their achievements.
According to Forbes, Bhavitha has been a trailblazer since being discovered by a modeling agent in New York in 2024 while pursuing a master’s degree in Assistive Technology at New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering. Originally from Hyderabad, she studied architecture at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University before unexpectedly entering the world of fashion.
Bhavitha made history in December 2025 when she became the first Indian model to open Chanel’s Métiers d’Art collection, serving as a muse for creative director Matthieu Blazy. Her rise continued in March 2026 when she was appointed Chanel’s house ambassador in India. She further gained international attention after appearing at the Met Gala 2026 in New York.
While her Met Gala look sparked debate on social media, with some users criticizing Chanel’s understated styling, Bhavitha remained focused on expressing gratitude for the opportunities she has received. She publicly thanked Matthieu Blazy for supporting her growth and helping her establish a place in the global fashion industry.
Bhavitha Mandava’s journey from a Hyderabad student to an internationally recognized model reflects determination, talent, and the power of embracing unexpected opportunities, making her a deserving addition to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list.
