Amit Shah will inaugurate the Madhur Dairy Unit-2 Automatic Milk Processing and Packaging Plant in Dashela, Gandhinagar, Gujarat marking a major step towards strengthening India’s cooperative dairy infrastructure.The fully automated facility has been developed to enhance milk processing and packaging capacity in the region while improving value addition and operational efficiency within the cooperative dairy sector. The initiative is aligned with the vision of “Sahkar se Samriddhi” promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to strengthen rural prosperity through cooperative development.
The programme will also be attended by Bhupendra Patel, along with other senior leaders and officials. According to the Ministry of Cooperation, the new dairy unit is expected to strengthen the cooperative dairy ecosystem by integrating advanced processing, packaging and quality control systems. The project aims to support dairy farmers and milk producer societies by improving infrastructure and enhancing income opportunities.
During the event, Amit Shah will unveil the inauguration plaque, visit the milk processing facility and formally launch plant operations from the control room. Women associated with dairy cooperatives will also participate in the programme and honour the Union Minister with a Madhur Dairy product kit, highlighting the growing role of women in India’s dairy cooperative movement.
Certificates will be distributed to representatives of milk producer societies as part of the initiative to encourage grassroots cooperative participation and farmer empowerment. The inauguration of Madhur Dairy Unit-2 is expected to contribute to rural development, strengthen Gujarat’s dairy network and support the expansion of modern cooperative-led dairy infrastructure in the country.
