Prime Minister Narendra Modi witnessed the signing of an agreement between Tata Electronics and Dutch semiconductor equipment maker ASML for the development of a semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Gujarat. The agreement was signed in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands during a roundtable meeting with leading Dutch CEOs. The partnership will support India’s first front-end semiconductor fabrication plant being established by Tata Electronics in Gujarat.
Prime Minister Modi described the collaboration as a significant step toward strengthening India’s semiconductor ecosystem and boosting domestic chip manufacturing capabilities. ASML is one of the world’s leading suppliers of advanced lithography systems used in semiconductor chip production.
