Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang extended greetings to the people of Sikkim on the occasion of its 51st Statehood Day.
In his message, the Prime Minister highlighted that Sikkim’s contribution to India’s development is deeply valued and reaffirmed the Central Government’s commitment to supporting the state’s tourism and economic growth. He conveyed these sentiments in a letter to the Chief Minister.
Sikkim, which became the 22nd state of India in 1975, continues to be recognised for its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and growing tourism sector. The leadership expressed optimism about further strengthening development initiatives in the Himalayan state.
