Union Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, will be on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 10–11 September 2025. The two-day visit is focused on deepening bilateral cooperation in education, fostering academic excellence and innovation, and creating new opportunities for students and youth in both countries.
During the visit, Shri Pradhan will hold discussions with UAE leaders, Ministers, policymakers, academicians, and representatives from Indian and UAE institutions to enhance collaboration in education, research, and knowledge exchange.
Key Engagements:
10 September 2025
- Meeting with H.E. Ms. Sara Musallam, Chairperson, Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).
- Visit to the IIT Delhi–Abu Dhabi Campus to inaugurate the Atal Incubation Centre (the first overseas centre) and launch PhD and B.Tech programmes. Interaction with students and faculty will also take place.
- Visit to the BAPS Hindu Temple, Abu Dhabi.
- Attend the 1st Anniversary Celebration of Symbiosis University, Dubai Campus.
11 September 2025
- Participate in the inauguration of the IIM Ahmedabad–Dubai Campus alongside H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, UAE Minister of Higher Education. Both Ministers will discuss ongoing and future collaborations in the education sector.
- Attend a Round Table Conference of Indian Higher Education Institutions in the UAE.
- Join the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ plantation drive at the Indian Consulate, Dubai.
- Interact with CBSE school principals during Teachers’ Day celebrations.
- Launch Atal Tinkering Labs in Indian schools in the UAE.
- Conclude the visit with an interaction with the Indian diaspora in Dubai.
This visit underscores the growing educational partnership between India and the UAE, with a shared vision of empowering youth, promoting innovation, and building stronger academic linkages for the future.
