Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Bihar and West Bengal on 22nd August to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects worth over ₹18,000 crore.
PM in Bihar
At Gaya, Bihar (11 AM), the Prime Minister will launch projects worth ₹13,000 crore, flag off two new trains, and address the public. Key highlights include:

Connectivity: Inauguration of the 8.15 km Aunta–Simaria bridge on River Ganga (₹1,870 crore) and the four-lane Bakhtiyarpur–Mokama section of NH-31 (₹1,900 crore).

Power: Launch of Buxar Thermal Power Plant (660×1 MW) worth ₹6,880 crore.

Healthcare: Inauguration of Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Muzaffarpur.

Clean Ganga Mission: Launch of STPs and sewerage networks at Munger (₹520 crore) and foundation stones for projects worth ₹1,260 crore in Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Lakhisarai, and Jamui.

Railways: Flag off of Amrit Bharat Express (Gaya–Delhi) and Buddhist Circuit Train (Vaishali–Koderma).

Housing: Grih Pravesh for over 16,000 beneficiaries under PMAY-Gramin & PMAY-Urban.
PM in West Bengal
At Kolkata (4:15 PM), the Prime Minister will inaugurate projects worth over ₹5,200 crore, including:

Metro Rail: Launch of 13.61 km metro network, including Noapara–Jai Hind Bimanbandar, Sealdah–Esplanade, and Beleghata–Hemanta Mukhopadhyay sections. He will also ride the metro from Jessore Road to Jai Hind Bimanbandar.

Urban Infrastructure: Inauguration of a new subway at Howrah Metro Station.

Roadways: Foundation stone of 7.2 km six-lane elevated Kona Expressway (₹1,200 crore), enhancing connectivity between Howrah, Kolkata, and surrounding areas.
These initiatives aim to boost connectivity, infrastructure, healthcare, power, and housing, strengthening economic growth and improving quality of life in both states.
