Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a five-year deal with DNA, a major telecom provider in Finland. The goal is to speed up DNA’s cloud transformation plan.
As part of the agreement, TCS will help move up to 80% of DNA’s business applications to the public cloud by the year 2030. This continues the long partnership between the two companies, which has lasted 17 years. The project aims to improve customer service, make operations more efficient, and reduce costs.
This project is part of DNA’s larger ‘Journey to the Cloud’ plan. TCS will use its own tools, TCS Cloud Counsel and TCS Migration Factory on Google Cloud, to make the migration process smooth and automated. In the first stage, over 100 applications will be moved to Google Cloud within two years.
To manage this work, TCS will set up a special Cloud Migration Factory at its nearshore delivery centre in Portugal. This will help run the migration and modernisation of applications in an organised way.
