    (CNBC)

Shares of renewable energy company Adani Green Energy Ltd surged up to 3.5% on Tuesday, April 15, after the company reported its operational performance for the financial year 2025.

Adani Green’s operational capacity increased 30% to 14.2 GW in FY25 compared to the year-ago period.

The company said it is set to add another 1 GW, pushing its total operational capacity to 15.2 GW.

In its provisional operational updates for FY25, Adani Green Energy said the rise in operational capacity to 14,243 MW was driven by a greenfield addition of 3,309 MW. This included the commissioning of 2,710 MW of solar power projects across key states, with major contributions from Khavda, Gujarat (1,460 MW), Rajasthan (1,000 MW) and Andhra Pradesh (250 MW).

Additionally, the company operationalised 599 MW of wind power capacity, entirely from its Khavda site.

This robust expansion translated into a 28% rise in energy sales to 27,969 million units from the previous year.

Over the past five years, Adani Green Energy has achieved a 45% CAGR in power generation, supported by an increasing share of merchant power and superior performance across its portfolio.

The company’s solar portfolio achieved a capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 24.8%, with plant availability at 99.5%. The Khavda solar project recorded a CUF of 32.4% in the fourth quarter of FY25, nearing its stabilised levels.

The wind and hybrid portfolios reported CUFs of 27.2% and 39.5%, respectively, backed by plant availabilities of 95.9% and 99.6%.

Shares of Adani Green Energy gained 3.46% to hit an intraday high of ₹924.7 apiece on the BSE on Tuesday. The stock was trading 2.95% higher at ₹920.05 apiece on the BSE around 10:22 am.
