Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged people to reduce oil consumption by 10% and fight obesity. Stating that cases of obesity had doubled in the last few years, the PM, in a social media post on Monday (February 24, 2025), nominated industrialists Anand Mahindra and Nandan Nilekani, and actor Mohanlal, among others, to spread awareness on strengthening the fight against obesity.
