Newly-elected legislators from Dharamsala and Pachhad assembly constituencies were sworn in as MLAs to the Himachal Pradesh Assembly by Speaker Rajiv Bindal on Monday. Bindal administered the oath to Vishal Nehriya, who had won from Dharamsala, and Pachchad’s Reena Kashyap in the presence of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and cabinet ministers Mahinder Singh and Ram Lal Markanda. Over 300 persons, including several MLAs, were present at the occasion.A bypoll was conducted after the seats fell vacant following the election of sitting MLAs, Kishan Kapoor and Suresh Kashyap, to the Lok Sabha in May this year.
