After a hiatus of two years, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi will make his way to Kolkata and that too during Durga Puja to boost morale of party workers and connect with voters. With Durga Puja being the biggest festival in Bengal, Gandhi has found it to be the best platform to connect to voters through his presence. Moreover, the Congress chief is likely to head to Belur Math, tracing a path similar to what Prime Minister Narendra Modi had done a few years back. Even though, Gandhi is likely to stay in Bengal for a day during the festival, he has no plan to meet West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, said sources in Congress. Confirming Gandhi’s visit to Kolkata on Ashtami, that is October 17, West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee president Somen Mitra , “Durga Puja is the biggest festival for us. Our party president will be here with us on the main day of Puja.
