    Govt Inks Pact With Yamaha India For Skill Training

    Jharkhand Skills Development Mission Society and India Yamaha Motors entered into an agreement on Friday to provide skill development training to youths of the State to make them employable. Under the agreement, the India Yamaha Motors will identify 12th passed and ITI passed youths who would be given two years of training in maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and related trades. The training program will be held at the company’s units located at Surajpur, Faridabad and Chennai.

    This training program will create future Shop Floor leaders equipped with Japanese style of manufacturing and working methods. The two-year training program will make these youths employable and it will improve their livelihood and standard of living. After the completion of the training, they can pursue Diploma in Engineering and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. The entire expenses for the education program will be borne by Yamaha.

    This apart a short-term training program of six months will also be conducted for the youths of the State. Selected trainees would be trained into office conduct, enthusiasm for work, discipline, teamwork in workplace, communication, health, sanitation, first aid and personal financial management.

    Director of the Skill Development Mission Ravi Ranjan, who signed the MoU with Yamaha Motors’ Deputy Managing Director Yukihiko Tada, said that the trainees would be provided with stipends, accommodation during the training period and given certificates along with job opportunities into related fields.
