Senior government functionaries, including Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma and the BJP general secretary Ram Madhav, will attend the ‘Thank You India’ event being organised by the Tibetan government-in-exile here on March 31 and April 1.The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) authorities, are, however, tight-lipped over VIPs attending the event. There are apprehensions over their participation in view of an advisory issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has asked all dignitaries to stay away for the event considering the India-China relations.Earlier, the Central Tibetan Administration was forced to change the venue from Delhi to Dharamsala.Sources said change in the Centre’s stance might be due to the intervention of the RSS, widely regarded as the parent organisation of the BJP.
