Chief Minister TS Rawat today said the victory of the BJP in the Tripura and Nagaland Assembly elections was far bigger than that achieved by the party in the states of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh last year. “We began from zero and have reached the top in Tripura and Nagaland and won seats in Meghalaya. Our vote share has been steadily increasing. In my opinion, these victories are far bigger than those achieved in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand by our party,” said Rawat, while addressing mediapersons at the BJP headquarters here.“Our victory march in the Northeast began with the BJP seizing power in Assam. Since taking over as the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has been focusing on the development of the North-Eastern states. He has managed to win the confidence of the people,” he added.Rawat said the Prime Minister even focused on the development of Sikkim, which was not under the BJP rule.
