After arriving in Ramallah today for a three-day tour, PM Narendra Modi and Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas exchanged key agreements between the two nations. They also signed joint statements, with both the leaders lauding each other as well as hailing India-Palestine relations. PM Modi, who was conferred the Grand Collar of state of Palestine thanked the President for this honour. “This is an honour for India and a symbol of Palestine’s friendship. I thank you on behalf of all Indians for this, said PM Modi.
PM Modi said that India-Palestine ties stronger than ever and both nations share historic ties. “India & Palestine’s relations have stood the test of time. Palestine has always taken a top spot in our foreign policy,” PM Modi added. Praising Palestine for thriving despite challenges, PM Modi said that the people of Palestine have continuously shown exemplary courage in extremely tough times, in spite of the fact that there was an unstable environment. He hailed the way Palestine has moved forward in such a situation and said that it is praiseworthy and appreciated it.
