Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said the state government would make efforts to promote religious tourism in the coming days. He was at Tattapani on the occasion of the Makar Sankranti fair and announced it a district-level fair.The Chief Minister said the government was committed to promoting religious tourism at Tattapani and restoring its lost glory. The matter regarding restoration of hot water springs and bathing ghats would soon be taken up both with the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVNL). They had been asked to prepare the detailed report of the project and undertake the restoration work.
