Work ‘Dil Se’, Think Out Of Box: Jai Ram Thakur

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today urged officials to work “dil se” and set a deadline of 100 days for completing pending works and setting targets for accomplishing new goals. This was stated by Thakur while presiding over the first meeting of administrative secretaries and heads of department today after taking over as the Chief Minister. He made it clear that there would be zero-tolerance towards corruption at the highest level and if anyone was found indulging in the malpractice, strict action would be taken against them.He urged officials to think out of the box and not routine so that the government initiatives can be fulfilled in letter and spirit.

“Do not limit yourself to routine work, but you have to think beyond that so that we all together can make Himachal the most developed state, which others would follow,” said the Chief Minister. Though Himachal is a small state much is expected in terms of development and welfare for which support of all the officers is required, he added. Thakur said the priority is to give a push to the Centrally sponsored schemes, which were ignored or progressed at a snail’s pace during the previous regime. “It is a matter of pride that even the Prime Minister in a recent meeting wished to see Himachal Pradesh as a trendsetter in the field of development in the country,” he said.
