To popularize cycling among the people in step with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal not to use vehicles at least once a week in view of the alarmingly rising level of air pollution, ONGC Dehradun is all set to launch the Saksham Cyclothon on December 3 being organised by PCRA under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
The Cyclothon would start from ONGC’s Dr.B.R Ambedkar Stadium, Kaulagarh Road in Dehradun and would cover over 7 km with the participants pedaling through Chakrata Road, Bindal Bridge, Mall Road, Cambrian Hall, Garhi Cantt. And KDMIPE Chowk before it finally concludes at Dr. BR Ambedkar Stadium. A 500 plus cyclists are targeted to participate in the cyclothon, said the organisers.
