Today Rahul Gandhi has filed the nomination for the post of Congress President and set the stage for a contest against PM Narendra Modi ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Current Congress chief and his mother Sonia Gandhi and former prime minister Manmohan Singh are among the proposers for his candidature.
