(ET) Senvion India has secured a firm order from Continuum Green Energy for 100 units of its 4.2M160 wind turbine generators (WTGs), totalling 420 megawatts (MW) of capacity, the company said on Thursday. The order, originally signed as a conditional agreement in September 2024 with 50 confirmed and 50 optional turbines, has now been fully converted. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in April 2026. The turbines will be deployed and installed across project sites identified by Senvion and developed by Continuum. (CW) Reliance Power announced its subsidiary, Reliance NU Energies, had secured the largest allocation under SJVN’s tariff-based competitive bidding process. The company was awarded 350 MW of solar generation capacity, along with 175 MW/700 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS). In a regulatory filing, the company stated that upon commissioning, the project would add 600 MWp of installed solar PV capacity and 700 MWh of energy storage to its portfolio. (FE) India’s import of non-coking coal used by thermal power stations reduced by 5.04% to 167.10 million tonnes in the financial year 2024-25 against 175.96 million tonnes in FY24, according to the latest data by the coal ministry. The decline in coal imports can be attributed to an increase in domestic production which crossed 1 billion tonnes touching 1.05 billion tonnes in FY25, compared to 997.83 MT in FY24.
