(FE) Thirteen states issued Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojana (UDAY) bonds for Rs 1,09,100 crore in FY17, the annual report released by the Reserve Bank of India noted. While about 45% of the UDAY bonds were issued in the fourth quarter of the financial year, their spreads between the corresponding tenor/10-year FIMMDA G-Sec yield declined to 35-75 bps in FY17. Eight states had raised  Rs 99,000 crore in FY16 and the above spread was fixed at 75 bps in the period. (FE) Despite Indian Railways (IR) putting in place enough wagons to transport coal, its freight from the commodity is likely to be hit as subsidiaries of Coal India (CIL) are not being able to load the targeted quantities. At the start of the year, the coal-loading target for CIL was agreed at 244 rakes per day. However, during the first three months of financial year 2018, coal loading from CIL averaged at 220 rakes per day. The price of a domestic 14.2 kg LPG cylinder was hiked by Rs. 73.50 per cylinder in Delhi. The revised price of a cylinder will be Rs. 597.50 for September this year. The price of a 14.2 kg domestic cylinder for August this year was Rs. 524 in Delhi.
