Akshay Kumar’s Welcome to the Jungle continued its impressive box office run on its third day in theatres, emerging as one of the strongest opening weekend performers of 2026. The comedy entertainer maintained excellent momentum on Sunday, taking its worldwide gross collection to Rs 93.20 crore.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 24.75 crore on its third day across 10,867 shows in India. This pushed its India net collection to Rs 63.75 crore, while the India gross collection reached Rs 76.50 crore. The film’s strong domestic performance, coupled with overseas earnings, helped it cross the Rs 93 crore mark globally within just three days of release.

On Sunday, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 45.71%. Morning shows witnessed 18.23% occupancy before collections surged in the afternoon with 52.69%. The evening shows registered the highest occupancy at 65.15%, while night shows closed at a healthy 46.77%, reflecting sustained audience interest throughout the day.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh praised the film’s exceptional box office trend, noting that Welcome to the Jungle registered a rare 37.12% jump on Saturday despite releasing on a holiday Friday. He highlighted that the film witnessed stronger occupancy across both mass and urban centres, indicating positive word-of-mouth among audiences. Adarsh also pointed out that the film achieved these numbers without relying on ticket discounts or promotional offers, making its opening weekend even more impressive.

Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, Welcome to the Jungle features one of the biggest ensemble casts in recent Bollywood history. Alongside Akshay Kumar, the film stars Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Jackie Shroff, Lara Dutta, Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor and several other popular actors, delivering a grand comedy spectacle for audiences.
