Tom Hardy has found himself at the center of controversy following reports of behind-the-scenes tensions on the set of MobLand. While rumors recently suggested that the actor had been fired from the hit crime drama, sources have clarified that no final decision has been made regarding his future on the show.
According to reports, Hardy’s behavior during the filming of Season 2 reportedly caused friction with producers and cast members. Sources claimed the actor frequently arrived late to set and occasionally remained inside his trailer for hours, leaving co-stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren waiting during production delays.
The actor was also said to have pushed for script revisions and dialogue changes, which reportedly created additional tension behind the scenes. However, insiders noted that many of Hardy’s creative suggestions were considered valuable, adding that he was frustrated by scripts being delivered too close to shooting dates, limiting his preparation time.
Speculation about a political disagreement between Hardy and Mirren was dismissed by sources close to the production. While Mirren was reportedly irritated by delays on set, insiders stressed there was no major personal conflict between the actors.
This is not the first time Hardy’s working style has attracted attention. During the filming of Mad Max: Fury Road, director George Miller acknowledged tensions involving Hardy and co-star Charlize Theron.
MobLand, which premiered in 2025 on Paramount Plus, stars Brosnan and Mirren as leaders of a British crime family, while Hardy plays fixer Harry Da Souza. Season 2 filming has wrapped, and discussions about a potential third season are reportedly ongoing.
