A week-long Vigilance Awareness Week concluded at the public sector mining giant NMDC on Saturday in Hyderabad. The valedictory function at NMDC Corporate Office was chaired by Alok Kumar Mehta, Director (Commercial) and attended by Sumit Deb, Director (Personnel), Senior Officials and other employees of the NMDC and representatives of School/College and winners of competitions.The award-winning posters were exhibited during the function to spread awareness. Mehta, Director (Commercial) in his address emphasized the need for use of technology in bringing transparency and eradicating corruption.
He appreciated the efforts taken up during the week on spreading awareness against corruption and also to carry on these preventive vigilance activities on continual basis. He also explained the importance of involving young generation in such activities.
Deb, Director (Personnel) in his address stated the need for every citizen to be vigilant and committed to highest standards of honesty and integrity at all times and support the fight against corruption. He also emphasized the need to strengthen the systems and procedures and for compliance of rules and regulations. The Vigilance Awareness Week programmes started at Corporate Office of NMDC Ltd. in Hyderabad with administration of pledge by Sumit Deb, Director (Personnel), NMDC Ltd.
