BJP will celebrate the first anniversary of the demonetisation on November 8 as “anti-black money day” and send its battery of central ministers and senior party leaders to various state capitals to interact with mediapersons to elaborate on the steps taken to eradicate black money and check corruption.
PM Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah, finance minister Arun Jaitley and railway minister Piyush Goyal are likely to be in various parts of Gujarat on November 8. Jaitley will hold a press interaction on Tuesday where he will share the details of the programme chalked out to educate the masses about the measures taken to curb black money.
BJP sources said on November 8, defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman will brief the press in Chennai, road transport minister Nitin Gadkari in Mumbai, HRD minister Prakash Javadekar in Bengaluru, I&B minister Smriti Irani in Lucknow, parliamentary affairs minister Ananth Kumar in Hyderabad, minority affairs minister MA Naqvi in Chandigarh, commerce minister Suresh Prabhu in Jaipur, junior civil aviation minister Jayant Sinha in Kolkata and Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Modi in Patna. Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will hold a press conference in Bhopal on November 7.
