CM Jai Ram Thakur laid the foundation stone of 33KV sub-station at Berthin worth Rs 5.96 crore. This would solve the problem of voltage fluctuation and benefit several villages. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced the opening of PWD sub-division besides construction of a mini secretariat at Jhandutta, while addressing a public awareness function at Jhandutta in Bilaspur district on Monday.
The state government has announced a new scheme, Atal Adarsh Aawasiya Shiksha Yojana, for the state from Berthin for meritorious students, so that they can compete with the students studying in convent schools. A provision of Rs 25 crore has been made it , he said. He further said 10 Adarsh schools would be opened under this scheme, which would have residential and special facilities for the students studying there.He said to ensure that the pace of development gets a boost, he had visited 58 Assembly constituencies. The government was trying to give preference to these areas, which had remained neglected so far.
