UP Police On High Alert Ahead Of Ayodhya Verdict

The UP police have been put on high alert to ensure proper law and order across the state ahead of the Supreme Court judgement on the Ayodhya issue. UP police have undertaken special exercises like closely monitoring messages on social media, maintaining regular contacts with ‘maulavis’ (Muslim clerics) and ‘pujaris’ (priests) of different mosques/ temples, keeping a vigil on new posters/slogans put up on walls at public places and preparing proper data containing names of persons responsible from both communities at the ground level to maintaining a proper audit of their own man-power resources.The state government has advised senior police officials to grant leave to policemen only in unavoidable circumstances, till November 30.
