After land clearance Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to lay the foundation stone of the central university campuses at Dahramsala and Dehra in the coming two months. Coinciding with the PM’s visit, university convocation will be held where Prime minister will be the Chief Guest, sources said. Earlier, the university convocation was scheduled to be held on August 31 which was put off.
Students protested lack of facilities like WI FI in the Dhauladhar campus II where classes have been shifted recently. The students gheraoed the Registrar of University in his office on September 14. KC Agnihotri, VC, assured the students that matter would be taken up with the HRD Ministry to bring Campus II under ‘Campus connect Project’, a GOI project.
