Delhi became the latest region to join the Rs 100/litre petrol club after a fresh hike in retail fuel prices. Wednesday’s petrol price in the national capital is Rs 100.21 per litre after a 35 paise hike. Diesel is retailing at Rs 89.53 per litre after prices were increased by 23 paise a litre.In Mumbai, today’s price for a litre of petrol is Rs 106.25, in Chennai Rs 101.06 and in Kolkata, Rs 100.23.
For diesel, it is Rs 97.09 in Mumbai, Rs 94.06 in Chennai and Rs 92.50 in Kolkata. Prices had remained unchanged on Tuesday after two consecutive hikes on Monday and Sunday. Retail fuel prices continue to rise across India, and have gone beyond Rs 100 in many states.
