In a major reshuffle involving 35 IAS officers, the government today ordered the transfer and posting of 10 Deputy Commissioners, barring Una and Kullu, along with some modifications and changes in the earlier transfer orders.Amit Kashyap, presently posted as Managing Director, HP Minorities Finance and Development Corporation, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Shimla in place of Rohan Chand Thakur. Kashyap’s father KN Kashyap was also DC, Shimla from 1978 to 1980.
Rohan Chand Thakur has been posted as Director Urban Development and Town and Country Planning. Sandeep Kumar, Director, Town and Country Planning, has been posted as DC, Kangra, in place of Chander Prakash Verma who has been posted as Special Secretary, Forest and Industry. Rakesh Kanwar, DC, Solan has been posted as Director, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj. Lalit Jain, Director, Information Technology has been posted as DC, Sirmaur in place of BC Badalia who goes as Director Transport.
