On January 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modia ddressed the nation for the 40th time via his popular radio show, Mann Ki Baat. This was also the first Mann Ki Baat in 2018 by PM Narendra Modi. He started off by talking about the Republic Day celebrations and lauded the efforts of women in the country. He also talked about the efforts by he common people which earned them the prestigious Padma Shri award. PM also remembered Kalpana Chawla, an American astronaut and the first woman of Indian origin in space, whose death’s anniversary is on 1 February. In his 39th edition of ‘Mann ki Baat’ Prime Minister Modi had said, “A cleanliness survey will be conducted from January 4 to March 10, 2018, to evaluate achievements in the cleanliness level in our urban areas.”
