Land for Job scam case The ED has taken major action against Lalu Yadav’s family. The ED has attached two properties with an estimated value of about Rs 6.02 crore. One of these properties is in New Friends Colony in Delhi while one property is in Patna. Both these properties have been attached by the ED.
Earlier, on July 3, the CBI had filed a second fresh charge sheet in the case. In this charge sheet, 17 people including Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav are named. According to the chargesheet, a land was purchased in the name of a private company for Rs 10.83 lakh and the land was immediately transferred in the name of the then Railway Minister Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and his son Tejashwi Yadav. Instead, shares worth just Rs 1 lakh were transferred.
During the land transfer, the company had this land worth about Rs 1.77 crore and it was transferred in the name of Lalu and his family for just Rs 1 lakh. However, the market value was much higher. During the investigation, the CBI had also recovered a hard disk, which contained the details of the candidates who gave land for the job. In this case, the CBI has filed a second charge sheet against 17 people, including Lalu, Rabri, Tejashwi, the then Railway GM, private person, mediator.
