Vice-Chairman of the Kullu Dasehra Festival Committee and DC Yunus Khan presided over a meeting to review the preparations of the week-long Kullu Dashera, beginning from October 19. The DC said a cultural troupe, besides international cultural groups, had been invited to participate during the seven-day festivities. Local artistes would be provided the opportunity to participate in the programmes to be held at Lal Chand Prarthi Kala Kendra.
Security arrangements, plot distribution, exhibitions, cultural programmes, sports, cleanliness, water and electricity arrangements and traffic management were discussed at the meeting. Necessary arrangements for around 300 deities attending the event were also discussed.
