In an effort to promote Khadi and its culture in the state, Rajasthan Khadi and Village Industries Board (RKVIB)has proposed to the union ministry of petroleum and naturalgas for making it mandatory for employees at petrol pumps tto dress in khadi.“Our chairman Jaswant Singh Bishnoi has recently proposed to the the Centre to make khadi mandatory for employees working atpetrol and diesel retailers,” said Alpa Choudhary secretary RKVIB. If the centre accepts the proposal of RKVIB, the state would be the first in the list of states to have vendors wearing Khadi dresses filling petrol and diesel tank of vehicles.
