Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) under the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme on a pilot basis in Shimla (Urban) and Kumarsain in the district for online registration of land records here today.
The Chief Minister said this would facilitate registration, online valuation and payment. After the successful implementation of this pilot project, it would be rolled out in the state. This would ensure check on any tempering with revenue records and help in effective maintenance of revenue records for the benefit of the landowners, he added.
